This grasshopper is notable for its striking appearance, with a combination of bright yellow and green colors, and distinctive black spots along its wings and body. The distinctive coloration of this grasshopper is thought to serve as both camouflage and a warning to predators about its potential toxicity, as it feeds on certain plants that may make it unpalatable or poisonous. It is a strong jumper, using its powerful hind legs to leap from plant to plant in search of food, primarily grasses and leaves.
