Papilio clytia, commonly known as the Common Mime, is a butterfly species in the Papilionidae family, found in parts of South Asia, including India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. This butterfly has a distinctive black and white pattern that mimics other species, such as the Papilio demoleus (Lime Butterfly). The forewings are black with white spots, while the hindwings are black with a pale blue or greenish tint and tail-like extensions. The larvae feed on plants from the Rutaceae family, particularly citrus species. The Common Mime is often found in forests and gardens, where it flutters gracefully and is admired for its striking appearance.
