Sericinus montela, commonly known as the Dragon Swallowtail, is a stunning butterfly species found in parts of the Himalayas and Southeast Asia, including regions like India, Bhutan, and Nepal. This butterfly belongs to the Papilionidae family. Its hindwings are elongated into dramatic tails, resembling a dragon's tail, which is how it gets its common name. The larvae of Sericinus montela feed on plants from the Rutaceae family, and the adult butterflies are often seen feeding on nectar from flowers in forested areas and open woodlands.  (THIS SPECIMEN NATURALLY PASSED AND NO LONGER HAS ITS TAILS)

Graphium nomius, commonly known as the Spot Swordtail or Clove Swallowtail, is a  butterfly found in parts of Southeast Asia, including India, Sri Lanka, and the Malay Archipelago. It belongs to the Papilionidae family and is recognized for its elegant, elongated tail on the hindwings, a feature common to many swallowtail butterflies. The larvae of Graphium nomius primarily feed on plants from the Rutaceae family, including species like the clove, which is linked to the butterfly's common name. The Spot Swordtail is typically found in forested areas and gardens, where it enjoys feeding on nectar from a variety of flowers.
