frequently asked questions
Where do you source your specimens?
We work with a select group of insect breeders and licensed importers who responsibly collect deceased specimens from insect farms and aviaries worldwide. We prioritize sustainability by partnering only with farms that uphold ethical practices, such as preserving local habitats and releasing a percentage of butterflies back into the wild to help boost their populations.
We avoid collaborating with companies involved in smuggling, the sale of endangered species, or the unethical sourcing of bats.
If you have any questions about our sources, please feel free to contact us directly. We value transparency and would be happy to answer any further questions!
Are any of these species endangered?
No. It is illegal to sell endangered species. All of our products are legal to sell, own, or buy.

CARING FOR YOUR FRAMES
Keep your pieces in a dry place with low humidity and away from direct sunlight to prevent them from fading and deteriorating.
What do I do about book lice?
These cases are rare, but on the off chance that you happen to notice dust-like specks inside of your frame, you may have a case of book lice. If so, place your frame in a plastic bag and into the freezer for 72 hours. Once that's done, remove it from the freezer and plastic bag, leave it out for 7 days, then return it into the freezer for another 72 hours to kill off any remaining eggs.
How long will my frames last?
Longer than any of us! As long as you take care of it.
